FINE, David - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

David Fine was born in Davidson County, North Carolina, March 16, 1817. He came to this state in 1829 and resided here until his death, which occurred at the home of his only living son, Jacob, July 18, 1898, aged 81 years, four months and two days.

He spent many weary days in the wilderness and many happy ones. He was a great hunter in his day. He has toiled with his ax in the woods when there were no fields to be seen. His life was spent on the farm up to his death. His friends were more than he knew.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wesner at Lutheran. He was laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery.
